Today I made a simple Python script that converts an IP address to a few letters for easier sharing and for a little bit of protection if you are sharing your address trough public channels.
Agoose77 from the Blenderartists forum is finishing his multiplayer system so I expect a lot of multiplayer games in the future and this might help. Not just because its easier to share your IP but the script also gets your external IP address for you.
The script is ugly and un-commented because it written in a few minutes but gives a good starting point, here is the link:
